Bromley Printing Approved File Formats
When submitting your files to Bromley Printing, Inc. we accept these files:
| • | Quark XPress (up to version 6.1). Please flight check all Quark files before submitting. All placed images and fonts (screen and printer fonts) must be supplied with the Quark file. |
| • | Adobe Illustrator (version 6 and up). Adobe Illustrator is the industry's leading vector-based illustration program. Please be certain to supply all fonts (screen and printer fonts) with your file, or convert all type to outlines (paths). If converting type to outlines, first make a copy of the original file to preserve editable type in the original design for future usage. Embed all placed images. Make sure all colors are converted to CMYK process and remove all unneccesary colors (like RGB). |
| • | Freehand (up to version 8). Freehand is a vector-based illustration program. Please be certain to supply all fonts (screen and printer fonts) with your file, or convert all type to outlines (paths). If converting type to outlines, first make a copy of the original file to preserve editable type in the original design for future usage. Make sure all colors are converted to CMYK process and remove all unneccesary colors (like RGB). |
| • | Adobe InDesign (version 2 and up). Please flight check all InDesign files before submitting. All placed images and fonts (screen and printer fonts) must be supplied with the InDesign file. Please supply a minimum 1/8" bleed on all four sides if applicable. |
| • | Adobe Pagemaker. Please flight check all Pagemaker files before submitting. All placed images and fonts (screen and printer fonts) must be supplied with the Pagemaker file. |
| • | Adobe Photoshop (version 5 and up). Very rarely are jobs submitted as Photoshop files, but if you require this option, please make sure to do the following: save your original Photoshop (PSD) document, make sure the colormode is set for CMYK process, and be certain a 1/8" bleed on all four sides has been supplied (bleeds should be accommodated in the Photoshop file before design begins). |
| • | Acrobat PDF. If you are skilled enough to export to Acrobat PDF from your design application of choice, please make sure that all elements in the design are CMYK and/or grayscale, supply a 1/8" bleed on all four sides (if applicable), embed ALL fonts, and output to print or press resolution. Bromley Printing, Inc. cannot guarantee color consistency if PDF is submitted. |
We can receive files in these programs, but an extra fee for conversion may apply:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint.
NOTE: Please supply a minimum 1/8" bleed on all four sides if applicable.
